General Description
AFRISERVER has immediate openings for professional,
enthusiastic Sales and Technical Support
Representatives. As a Sales and Technical Support
Representative with AFRISERVER you will take incoming calls
from our existing customer base and will not be required
to make cold calls.
Responsibilities
- Take Inbound calls from customers who are having
technical challenges with their website/email.
- Troubleshoot telephone and/or email inquiries in
the technical support queue.
- Provide accurate technical solutions in an effort
to resolve each issue upon the 1st call.
- Upsell customers on additional AFRISERVER products.
Requirements
- One full year experience with Inbound Sales and
Technical Support in a high volume fast paced
environment.
- Must be able to work with customers via telephone
to describe products and/or services, in order to
persuade potential and current customers to renew or
purchase products and/or services.
- Strong customer service and telesales skills
- Experienced with Web Based & Applications
& Windows, knowledge and understanding of Domain
registration, and basic understanding of web browsers.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to
multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast paced
environment
- Ability to manage sensitive and critical client
information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and decision making skills

General Description
Working under the direction of the VP, IT, this
engineer will be a senior systems administrator focused
on provisioning of services and automated support of
existing services.
System Administrators are initially evaluated based
on their qualifications, and continually monitored for
their improvements in the following areas: Responsibilities
- R&D on new systems reference
architectures for virtual and dedicated product
lines
- Technical leadership on new product offerings
- Sales Engineering Support and Special Project
Leadership with some Customer facing communication
- Expertise in Enterprise level Hosting Solutions
- Advanced level work with Linux, FreeBSD and
Windows Operating Systems
- Programming and Scripting (Shell Scripting, Perl)
- Troubleshooting Hardware (Servers, Consoles,
Switches, Routers, etc…)
- Follow up on, always learn new technologies, and
in turn, bring new ideas and methodologies to the
workplace, with minimal support and guidance
- Ability to work productively in and out of Team
environments
- Ability to produce quick fixes, as well as
formulate long term solutions to problems
- Maintain large number of UNIX and Windows servers

General Description
The Billing Support Inbound Representative provides
telephone support to customers with questions about
account billing issues. The representative will
investigate individual customer issues and then provide
appropriate sales solutions on each call. They will also
support other departments including sales and technical
support. This position will work with a Billing Lead and
report to a Billing Supervisor. Responsibilities
- Answer telephone inquiries in the Billing Queue.
- Perform appropriate and timely investigation and
problem solving.
- Meet performance standards set by the department,
number of calls/sales.
- Answer basic technical support questions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Windows XP, 2000, 98
- Skilled in Excel and Word.
- Basic knowledge of standard web
technologies(servers, domains, email and ftp)
- Basic knowledge of the web, browsers, and the
internet
- Detail oriented, accurate data entry skills
- Customer service background, dealing with irate
customers, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

General Description
The Telesales Specialist will call on leads from our
existing customer base and cold calls are not required.
(No Cold Calls!)
Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to current customers offering
them additional AFRISERVER products.

- Maintain Customer accounts and resolve any
problems they encounter.

This position is a full time, non-exempt position.
Salary is dependent upon experience and the motivation
of the employee.

The qualified candidate will report directly to the
Director of Development and must be comfortable leading
projects, mentoring other developers, and helping IT
management make timely and accurate decisions. Five
years of programming experience as well as a Bachelors
Degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering or
related are required. Experience in building web related
applications using PERL is a must. An interest in
learning more about enterprise level systems is
desirable. We use a modified RUP process and are open to
improving it. The goal is Just Enough Process. We have
extensive systems, network, and support people on site
as well as QA and the build manager. We just need a key
Developer to come in and write solid code, participate
in design and code reviews, and generally do what you do
best.
